It has been a bit since our last newsletter but so much to tell.
It has been 1 year, 4 months since being in the US and seeing our families.
Michael and I finally came home to the US for a long overdue visit.
Our trip lasted 51 days leaving the Philippines on June 21st, but was far from being a vacation.
Our trip was extremely busy.
We flew on 11 different airplanes going to 6 different states.
While traveling we went to 14 church services, 2 bible studies, 8 meetings and volunteered at 2 church clothing giveaway events.
With all this we still found time to visit family that included helping with preparing my parents house for a construction job on a bathroom redo that started while we were there.
One of the highlights of the trip was we took my parents to Missouri to visit family and they spent the 4th of July with us at Michaels family.
The other highlight was while in California a couple, Darrell and Charlene, hosted us in their home.
We were given the opportunity to go visit Redwood National Park with them and see the amazing trees.
Also Pastor Ramon and wife Anita catered to us a wonderful day out on the lake. Thank you all so much !!
Returning to our Philippines home on August 9th we had 2 days to prepare for a mission team of 11 people from the US that arrived on the 12th.
During the mission trip the team experienced Filipino culture like traveling on a motorbike - tricycle and a Jeepney, eating street food and seeing tribal dances.
They traveled to mountain churches and they had a Vacation Bible School that averaged about 100 children at 9 different locations and also helped with feeding programs at many of them.
They attended a church conference with about 900 in attendance praying over many and some of the team spoke on the radio.
This was our 1st mission team that Michael and I hosted with our team in the One Life Missionary Compound and we think it was a great success with good feedback on the accommodations.
We cannot wait for more mission teams in the future.
