We started the month off with a 3 day celebration of Agape’s 56 years in ministry with over 1,200 attendees.
The next week Agape had a 5 day / 4 night kids camp
for ages 7 to 12.
We had 106 kids attend.
It had been over 10 years since they had a kids camp & thanks to the ministry Still Hope for the funds they were able to make this happen again.
The camp was full of excited happy kids and a huge success.
The kids and parents are already asking if they can have camp next year.
The 3rd week Agape had a 5 day / 4 night youth camp
for ages 13 and up.
There were about 250 youth with 21 who were baptised.
They were all super excited that they could attend because Gods Love Ministry made it possible for them to have free registration and helped with some of the transportation.
Michael and I also hosted 2 girls at our home for 17 days,
a 10 and 11 year old, from the Island of Leyte.
They came over from their island with their Pastor to attend the anniversary, they attended kids camp, and went back home with their older siblings after youth camp was over.
It was amazing for the girls to experience for the 1st time taking a hot shower, going to a mall, and eating out at Jollibee (like America's McDonalds) eating french fries was exciting when they said “so this is a french fry”.
We took them shopping for clothes and shoes, they had so much fun.
Along with everything else going on we did weekly hospital visits giving care packages out to each family with a child that was admitted in the hospital.
The care packages have food, snacks, candy, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, throat mints, face masks, tissue and toys.
We gave out a total of 42 care packages this month along with toys to any other child we saw at the hospital.
The hospital loves seeing us come and we love the opportunity to pray over all the kids.
It's a true blessing thanks to Still Hope for the funds to make this happen.
Michael had fun traveling on his motorbike 2 hours over the mountain for a church prayer meeting that ended in a pastors meeting about the outcome of the camp's pros and cons.
All agreed it was a very successful outcome.
